Join The Trustees and Boston Food Forest Coalition in exploring Leland Community Garden for wild growing plants.
Enjoy a short stroll around the Leland garden where you’ll gain basic skills to identify some tasty wild edible plants common in urban settings within the Greater Boston Area. We’ll focus on ethical and safe foraging practices as well as culinary and medicinal applications.
This walk will be led by Maxwell Francke, the new Garden Programs Coordinator with The Trustees. Max has a background in sustainable agriculture and natural resources from UMass Amherst, and is a passionate nature explorer, hiker, and forager.
This program is available to all — no experience necessary — on a sliding scale fee. Registration coming soon.
Feel free to bring any plant ID books or journals to mark down along the way!
Rain date May 18th.
