About Springtime Soups – Adult Cooking Class

Spring has sprung in the Powisset Kitchen! Join us all month long as we leap into spring with cooking classes focused on the season and using kocal seasonal vegetables and what is growing in our greenhouses here at the farm.

In this hands-on cooking class, our own Chef Thi will introduce you to light chowders, perfect for the transition between the cold of winter and heat of summer. You’ll make Local Fish Chowder with Lemony Herb Pesto (using spring herbs from the farm) and an Early Spring Vegetable Chowder, along with Cheesy Herb Biscuits, the perfect spring soup side.

Included in this class:

  • Cooking demonstration and hands-on learning experience.
  • Instruction from an experienced, top-notch instructor.
  • Recipes to take home.
  • At the end of each class, the opportunity to enjoy the food you created.

If you would like to bring an adult beverage to class, please feel free.

Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 6 people required for class to take place. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.

Cancellation Policy:  In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.

*Food availability and prices have necessitated minor increases in the cost of cooking classes effective January 1, 2023
