About The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show Early Hour

The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show is BACK! This year with more pumpkins, more fun, and an expanded schedule! Explore our famous gardens as we transform Naumkeag into a celebration of autumn with over 1,500 jack-o-lanterns, hundreds of mums, pumpkins and countless gourds – most of which were grown right here at Naumkeag! Hot cider and fall treats will be available for sale on-site.

We are pleased to present our Pumpkin Show Early Hour, with on-site parking for those who have very little ones that might not want to take the shuttle, need to make it home early, or have a family member with sensory needs. The 4-5PM time slot is welcome to anyone who may benefit from on-site parking with fewer guests for a lower capacity experience.

For guests with sensory needs, a limited number of sensory kits will be available for use onsite. A social story will also be shared with guests through the Know Before You Go email guests receive prior to their visit.

*Please note that the path for the show is still the same during this hour and covers uneven terrain with many steps, though with better visibility during the early evening hour. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.*

Due to its steep and uneven terrain, Naumkeag is not wheelchair or stroller-accessible and may be difficult to access for guests with limited mobility. Please reach out to tickets@thetrustees.org with any questions about accessibility.

PARKING & ARRIVALS for the EARLY HOUR:

• This parking option is for the Early Hour only, all other tickets holders will be parking off site and taking a shuttle to the property.
• The address for parking on site is 5 Prospect Hill Rd, Stockbridge MA 01262. Please enter the property off of Prospect Hill Rd by the Naumkeag sign. Do not drive up the Church Street drive, this is a one way and will be used as an exit only.
• The gates will open shortly before the 4pm time slot, if you arrive before the gates are open please come back. Do not park along Prospect Hill Road or in front of the gate.
• Once you arrive on site a staff member will check you in and direct you to the parking lot.

Ticketing & Admission FAQ’s

• Can I change my date or time? At this time, we are unable to accommodate date or time changes. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable across dates.
• I purchased tickets but didn’t receive (or lost) my confirmation email! Guests who purchased tickets may look up their order & re-send their tickets by visiting tickets.thetrustees.org/orders.
• What happens if I show up early or late for my entry time? To ensure a positive experience for guests, we ask that you arrive during your designated time slot. Early/Late arrivals may need to wait to accommodate those with correct timed tickets.
• What is the weather policy? This is a Rain or Shine Event. Unsafe or extreme weather will cancel this event. In the event we must cancel due to weather, guests will be notified by email and will receive further information regarding a refund or a transfer.
• What is the age range for a children’s ticket? The child ticket is valid for ages 3-13. Children 2 and under are free.

Amenities & Accessibility

• How long does it take to walk through? On average, expect to spend about an hour walking through the property.
• Are dogs allowed at The Pumpkin Show? No, in order to protect our gardens dogs are not allowed on the property.
• Is the interior of the property open to the public during the show? The first floor of Naumkeag will be open for visitors along with our gift shop.
• Will food & drink be available for purchase? Yes, concessions (snacks, hot drinks) will be sold on-site.
• Will restrooms be available? Yes, restrooms will be available for guests.
• What should I wear? The event will take place outdoors. Please be prepared to walk through unpaved pathways on uneven terrain through the woods and gardens. Trails may be muddy or icy at times, sturdy boots are recommended. Dress appropriately for the weather that day.
• Are the pumpkins real? Our Jack-O-Lanterns are all hand-carved by our staff and volunteers here at Naumkeag. Most are foam “fun-kins”, a more sustainable and longer lasting product. Other are real pumpkins grown by local farmers.
• Is the event wheelchair or stroller accessible? Due to steep and uneven terrain, and the presence of stairs on pathway, The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show is not wheelchair -or stroller-accessible and may be difficult to access for guests with limited mobility.
