A sauce might not come to mind immediately when you think of beets, but this fantastic version of a beet sauce from the culinary team at Appleton Farms may become your new favorite topping, it’s perfect on pizza or pasta or for dipping veggies.
1080 Grams of Roasted Beets
Approximately 12 good sized beets. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash Beets (trim off greens). Line pan with foil. Place beets on foil. Drizzle with olive oil. Cover with Foil. Put in oven and check every 20 min until fork tender. When beets are cooled enough, slip their peels off.
400 grams Olive Oil
20 grams fresh Garlic
15 grams deseeded Fresno Chili Pepper (about 1 pepper)
12 grams fresh Dill
2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
1 ½ tsp. Salt
-Weigh out ingredients into the bowl of a food processor set on top of a scale.
-Blend until smooth, scraping side of bowl halfway through mixing.
-Use as a pizza sauce, dip for bread/veggies, or on top of pasta!
