Notchview is located in Windsor, MA and renowned for its Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. With over 25 miles of trails to explore, there is something for everyone. Almost half of the trails are groomed and track-set for classical cross-country skiing and 5 miles are groomed for skate skiing. A separate trail system is for “skijoring,” or skiing with dogs. You can also snowshoe alongside the ski trails or go off track and explore the backcountry. Hours of operation are 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Learn to Ski One-Day Group Lesson:Notchview’s beautiful trails and friendly instructors provide a welcoming experience for new skiers interested in the sport. This package is for those who want a lesson and day pass for one day – (Rentals not included and can be purchased at the Budd Visitor Center- arrive 1 hour before your lesson if you intend to rent).
Lesson times are on weekends and holidays at 11AM & 1PM for 1 hour (and usually run over). New this year: Members enjoy a 20% discount!
Private Lessons:Interested in learning how to cross country ski with friends? Want a fun and new nature-filled activity for the family? Our private and group lessons are perfect for small groups and families itching to get outside. Availability is limited due to demand.

In addition to lessons, Notchview provides programs and adventures throughout season. Whether it’s a full moon ski tour, wilderness trek or s’mores by the fire, we have something for everyone.
Come ready to ski…Lockers and changing areas are not available and you will need to store shoes in your car. We are anticipating a busy season so please show up early if you are planning to rent equipment.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we want our valued skiers and snowshoers to know that safety is our highest priority during these challenging times. Below are important modifications we have made to ensure that we all have a safe and extended season:
Visitor Center: Due to limited space and visitor safety, the Budd Visitor Center will be closed to the public on weekends (weekdays may be open)
Masks: Visitors must always wear face coverings when indoors
Retail and Food: Merchandise & Snacks are available for purchase at walk-up windows
Rentals: Equipment Rentals are available on site. Weekends sell out- Please come early
Restrooms: Porta Potties are available outside the Visitor Center
Waxing: Indoor waxing stations will not be available to the public
