About Powisset Pals – April Vacation
Join us for cooking, hiking, and gardening this April Vacation!
Powisset Pals will enjoy a full day of hands-on fun at Powisset Farm. The day begins in the kitchen with Chef Maria, who will share some of her favorite recipes that are great for afterschool snacks (different recipes on Tuesday & Thursday). Participants will enjoy tasting their creations before heading outside. Families can register for just one day or extend the vacation week fun by signing up for both sessions!
On Tuesday (April 21), we will head outside to our greenhouse and screen room to learn about spring gardening and to embrace creativity with nature crafts.
On Thursday (April 23), we will head across the street to hike the Skyline Trail at Noanet Woodlands
Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day.
Included in this program:
- Cooking and gardening demonstrations with hands-on learning
- Instruction from an experienced instructor
- Recipes to take home
- The opportunity to enjoy the food you created
This drop-off class is designed for children ages 7-12. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please remember to send a nutritious NUT-FREE lunch. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact powissetfarm@thetrustees.org 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. As a general policy, The Trustees does not issue refunds for weather-shortened programs, in keeping with our standard approach to outdoor programs and the unpredictability of New England weather.
