Join us for winter cooking and gardening this February Vacation!
Powisset Pals will enjoy a full day of hands-on fun at Powisset Farm. The day begins in the kitchen with Chef Maria, who will share some of her favorite recipes designed to warm everyone up on a cold winter day. Participants will enjoy tasting their creations before heading out to our greenhouses.
In the greenhouse, Powisset Pals will explore winter gardening and learn how plants grow even in colder months. Each participant will plant their own microgreens and learn how to care for them at home.
Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day.
Included in this program:
Cooking and gardening demonstrations with hands-on learning
Instruction from an experienced instructor
Recipes and seedlings to take home
The opportunity to enjoy the food you created
This drop-off class is designed for children ages 7-12. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please remember to send a nutritious NUT-FREE lunch. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.
