About Urban Agriculture Fair Launch Party: Honey Harvest Poetry Slam

In anticipation of our annual Urban Agriculture Fair on September 20th, we are hosting a Launch Party: a Honey Harvest Poetry Slam!

This free, family-friendly evening brings together sustainability, food, and the arts for an unforgettable celebration. Guests will enjoy:

• Live Honey Harvest Demonstrations — Learn how honey is harvested and discover the importance of honey bees in Boston’s food system.
• Farm-to-Table Tastings — Sample honey-inspired dishes and beverages featuring local, seasonal ingredients.

• Poetry Slam — Experience performances by local poets whose powerful words explore community, environment, and resilience.

This event will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry (UUUM) First Church, 10 Putnam Ave, in Roxbury. Convene at the Peace Garden in the back of the church.
