About A Taste of Perennial Foods with Island Grown Initiative

Learn how to prepare and enjoy unique perennial foods in this engaging workshop. Harvested from the Food Forest at the MVP Charter School, a wide range of greens, herbs, currants and medicinals will be prepared and tasted during the class.

Instructors Roxanne Kapitan, who created the garden, and cookbook author Cathy Walthers, will wow participants with new tastes and garden possibilities for their own backyard.

This program is free of charge thanks to a grant from the Cedar Tree Foundation.

Pre-registration is required for all Farm Institute cooking classes. Please contact thefarminstitute@thetrustees.org with any allergy or food restriction questions.

Consuming raw or undercooked meat, poultry seafood or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness. If you would like to attend but are unable to pay, please reach out LBrown@thetrustees.org for more information.
