Celebrate Earth Day with an exclusive guided tour led by Stephen Zelno, Naumkeag’s head horticulturist. Explore a vibrant array of early-season bulbs that bloom just before and into the first week of Daffodil season—going beyond the familiar Daffodils and Tulips. Stephen will introduce you to often-overlooked gems like Chionodoxa, Scilla, and Pushkinia, sharing insights into their unique beauty and role in the garden.
Stroll through the gardens with a glass of locally crafted wine or a refreshing mocktail, soaking in the breathtaking mountain views and experiencing the best sunset spot in the Berkshires. The tour lasts about an hour, followed by an additional 30 minutes to explore the grounds and enjoy the sunset at your own pace.
Rain or inclement weather will cancel. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. Outside alcohol is not permitted but you are welcome to bring picnics or snacks to enjoy after the program.
Please note: Due to the age of the site and its steep and uneven terrain, Naumkeag is not ADA compliant and is not wheelchair- or stroller-accessible.
