Join us for a quiet walk to the edge of the lower fields at Ward Reservation as we observe the early signs of spring amongst the annual bird migration specifically, the American Woodcocks. Participants will learn about their “peent” call and wing flutter dance as the sun goes down for this beautiful and fun experience with nature.
This program is good for adults and children over 10 years. Participants should be comfortable walking in outdoor terrain with light hiking and standing for about 60 minutes. Please wear appropriate footwear as conditions may be wet and muddy. For safety, it is recommened to bring a flashlight as the walk will be dusk to dark on the field. This walk will be led by The Friends of Ward.
Due to the nature of the walk, dogs are not permitted at this program.
