About Growing Together: Seed Saving and Collecting Workshop

Discover the timeless practice of seed saving and learn how gardeners have preserved plant diversity for generations. This workshop explores techniques for collecting, storing, and sharing seeds, with practical guidance for selecting healthy plants, harvesting seeds, and maintaining resilient gardens. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced grower, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to become a steward of your own seeds and local plant heritage.

Growing Together is a new hands-on gardening series created in collaboration with Arianna Iappini of Birch Arbor Gardens. Designed for gardeners of all experience levels, this series invites participants to learn, connect, and cultivate alongside one another through the seasons. Each session blends practical instruction with thoughtful conversation, exploring sustainable gardening practices, seasonal rhythms, and the deeper relationships between plants, place, and people. Rooted in community and shared knowledge, Growing Together offers a welcoming space to grow skills, confidence, and connection in the historic gardens.
