About Whimsical Fairy StoryWalk®

Celebrate the magic of the garden with our Whimsical Fairy StoryWalk® adventure for the whole family! Stroll through the gardens as each page of Backyard Fairies by Phoebe Wahl unfolds along the path, inviting young imaginations to discover an enchanting world where fairies, flowers, woodland creatures, and hidden garden treasures come to life.

Along the way, keep an eye out for fairy doors and magical surprises that encourage children to explore the beauty of the garden through storytelling and play. Perfect for children and caregivers, this self-guided experience combines literacy, imagination, and outdoor adventure in a beautiful garden setting.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, Vermont. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Extend the magic of your Fairy StoryWalk® adventure at home with a special Fairy Garden Door Kit! For $20 ($15 for Trustees Members), take home everything you need to create a whimsical doorway for visiting fairies—perfect for tucking into a garden, tree base, or indoor fairy corner.

Each kit includes a fairy door, paint, and a selection of festive craft supplies to personalize your enchanted entryway. Let your imagination lead the way as you design a magical home for your fairy friends and keep the story going long after your visit to the garden ends. Kits will be available for pick up in our Giftshop Thursday-Sunday (10AM-4PM). Add your Fairy Garden kit here.
