JAZ COW CONNECTION

About Adult Cow Connection at Appleton Farms

Come meet, cuddle, brush, and spend time with our hand‑raised cows at Appleton Farms. The cows’ calm presence—their warm body temperature and steady heart rate—can help slow our own heart rate and encourage the release of oxytocin, our social bonding hormone. Enjoy both the scientifically recognized benefits and the simple relaxation of being outdoors on our scenic, historic farm.

During this hour‑long Cow Connection session, you’ll meet our two Jersey dairy cows, Gray and Jasmine. While you unwind, they’ll also benefit from your attention and care. These interactions support their training, handling, and temperament, helping them thrive as part of our educational programs.

Group size is intentionally small to create a relaxed, personal experience. Whether you enjoy painting, photography, meditation, yoga, or simply spending quiet time with animals, this program offers a unique and welcoming setting. If you’re interested in a custom experience, reach out to learn more about tailored sessions.

Booking in advance is required to reserve your spot. This program is intended for adults only; a family-friendly version of Cow Connection will be back on the calendar in September or please contact us to inquire about a private session.

Private sessions are also available for group outings or special occasions—please contact us for more information.

Cow Connection programs will take place in light rain but will be canceled in cases of heavy rain, thunder, or lightning. If a cancellation is necessary, you will be notified in advance via email.
