Join us in the Powisset Farm Store for a special book signing with local writer Lou Tamposi, author of “Some Meat I’ve Known”.

Some Meat I’ve Known is a year lived close to the bone.

Moving through winter, spring, summer, and fall, these essays trace a life shaped by woods and water, kitchens and tables, animals taken and animals remembered. Hunting trips, shared meals, solitary hours, and family rituals become entry points into larger questions—about attention, work, gratitude, masculinity, inheritance, and what it means to live deliberately in a modern world that rarely slows down.

Lou Tamposi is a father, writer, and outdoorsman. His essays — blending dirt, myth, muscle, and memory — explore what it means to live radically, and are published weekly in his newsletter, “Cow We Doin’.”
