About Flavorful Fermentation – Adult Cooking Class

Join Chef Thi Bowles for a hands-on beginner fermentation class. In this class, you’ll learn how to use farm-fresh ingredients to create your own fermented foods at home, packed with healthy probiotics. Using vegetables harvested at the end of the summer like peppers, cabbage and cucumbers grown at the farm, you’ll make kimchi, a flavorful Korean side dish made of cabbage and greens known for its positive health benefits, in a cheesy kimchi toasty. Next, you’ll make hot sauce using our farm-grown peppers for hot wings with honey. Our sour fermented pickles will be a great accompaniment to your favorite sandwich.

Included in this class:  

  • Cooking demonstration and hands-on learning experience.  
  • Instruction from an experienced, top-notch instructor.   
  • Recipes to take home.  
  • At the end of each class, the opportunity to enjoy the food you created. 

This is an adults-only course. If you would like to bring an adult beverage to class, please feel free. 

Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 6 people required for class to take place. Please Note:  Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen.
