About Attic Tours of The Old Manse

Uncover the hidden stories of The Old Manse on this thrilling tour that takes you to the historic third-floor attic! While the 254-year-old museum is renowned for its famous writers, philosophers, and Revolutionary War heroes, we’ll dive into the lives of those who stayed in this intriguing space—visiting ministers, enslaved and indentured servants, Harvard students, and curious children. Discover the rich tapestry of diverse experiences that shaped the history of The Old Manse and our nation.

With limited capacity for each tour, be sure to book in advance to secure your spot on this unforgettable journey through history!

Please note that the attic can be hot in summer and cold in winter; please dress comfortably. This tour involves going up several flights of steep stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. This tour may at times be conducted in low light situations; flash-lights are provided. There are no public restrooms on site. They are located in nearby Minuteman National Park (seasonal) and in Concord’s Visitor’s Center. Parking is available in front of the museum in The Old Manse parking lot.
