About Geology Walk at World's End

This event has sold out.

If you think you know all of the history of World’s End, step back in deep time with registered geologist and long-time Trustees volunteer, Les Tyrala, to look for evidence of the ancient igneous bedrock, volcanoes, submarine mudslides, and mountainous rivers within this portion of the 400 million year old Boston Basin. Also, we will look for direct evidence of the last period of glaciation that ended about 10,000 years ago here in southeastern New England.

This program is appropriate for adults and children age 11 and older.

This hike will take place along the Rocky Neck trail of World’s End. Please wear sturdy footwear as the terrain is uneven and rocky along portions of the trails.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Parking is included with your registration.

In the event of particularly inclement weather, this program may be rescheduled or cancelled. In the event of cancellation, you will be notified via the email address you used to register and refunded in full within 14 business days. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

We love our furry friends, however, dogs are not permitted on guided walks.
