About City Natives Learning Series

City Natives Plant Nursery will be hostly monthly horticultural workshops open to the public, all focused on native plants in the city. Join one or all of these free workshops in the beautiful plant nursery. Native plant seedlings will be available for sale.

July 12- Edible Native Plants: Join Urban Grower Lacey for a taste of native flora! Learn about sustainable food systems and the local edible plants that used to– and could again– feed the northeast.

August 9 – Tree ID Walk: Learn the basics of tree identification along the Neponset River with Urban Grower Lacey.

September 13 – DIY Seed Postcards: Join Paul and Lacey to make plant-based post cards embedded with native flower seeds, then send them to a friend to spread the love.

Location: City Natives Plant Nursery is located at 30 Edgewater Drive in Mattapan. Street parking is available and the nursery is a short walk from the Mattapan Center Red Line Trolley station.
