March 5, 2021 – The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) today announces it will host the third annual Daffodil and Tulip Festival at Naumkeag from April 22 to May 16, featuring more than 130,000 bulbs.
“After not being able to hold this event in person last year, we’re incredibly excited to bring back this amazing event that everyone loves so much,” said Trustees Director of Southern Berkshires Properties Brian Cruey. “After the long Berkshires winter we hope everyone will come back to Naumkeag for a spring explosion of warmer weather and colorful blooms.”
Visitors can visit this famous 44-acre Gilded Age estate and stroll through eight acres of world-renowned gardens decorated with more than 130,000 daffodil, tulip, and minor bulbs to usher in spring in the Berkshires. In addition to taking in the awesome sight of so many brightly colored flowers all in one stunning location, The Trustees is offering a variety of horticultural tours and workshops, art classes, and other fun activities for kids and families.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the number of people allowed in will be limited and online reservations must be made in advance as no tickets will be sold at the door. Beginning April 22, the event will run Thursday through Monday from 10 am to 4 pm and cost $15 for non-member adults ($9 for members) on weekdays and $20 for non-member adults ($12 for members) on weekends. Tickets for children cost $5 each ($3 for members) no matter the day, and admission for children younger than two is free.
Food and refreshments will be for sale on-site at our outdoor snack shack, and bouquets will be available for purchase online when booking tickets. Tickets are only available to members until March 12 when they go on sale to the general public.
In order to combat COVID-19, capacity is limited to ensure social distancing, masks are required while on the property for everyone older than two, and the interior of the house will be closed. The festival is rain or shine but if severe weather forces a shutdown it will be announced on Naumkeag’s social media pages and refunds will be issued.
