About Spring Tree Identification Walk

Location: Southwest Corridor Community Farm, Jamaica Plain

In the first weeks of spring, trees provide clues to their identification by way of their spring blooms, bark, and other characteristics. Alex Klein, local Arborist and Herbalist (alexkleinherbalist.com), will lead us through trees at the garden, pointing out key features that will provide you the skills to identify cultivated fruit trees, ornamental trees, and wild trees commonly found in the city, as well as some of their medicinal applications.

Southwest Corridor Community Farm is located at 57 Lamartine Street in Jamaica Plain, a short walk from the Stony Brook orange line station.

This is a sliding scale ticketed event. Proceeds from this class directly support food justice and green space access in the Trustees’ network of 56 community gardens across Boston. Please reach out if the program fee is a barrier to your participation.
