About Paint the Clouds with Artist Christopher Volpe

Have you always wanted to be a Plein Air Artist but didn’t know where to start? Or, are you an accomplished artist who wants to “loosen up”? This is the workshop for you!

This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate painters looking to have fun. Spend a creative couple of hours of cloudscape experimentation, with the goal of a finished painting to take home.

After a short demonstration, Chris will lead the class in both palette knife and brush techniques, including individual attention at each easel. We will be working on 10″ x 10″ canvasses.

If you have oil paints, brushes, a pallet knife, and a canvas, feel free to bring them. If not, all materials, tools, etc. will be supplied for a $20 materials fee (payable by cash or check directly to the instructor). When registering, please complete the included questionnaire indicating whether or not you will require materials to be provided or will be bringing your own.

Weather permitting, we’ll be sitting outside using tabletop easels – otherwise, we’ll move indoors.
