About South End Garden Tour

The garden gates open in Boston’s South End for our annual South End Tour. This always-popular neighborhood event provides an opportunity to explore some of the South End’s most spectacular private outdoor spaces. Thread through alleys and walkways for a self-guided, behind-the-scenes look at gardens ranging from intimate, informal, and even quirky spaces designed by resident gardeners, to the work of noted landscape designers — many of which are open to the public only on the day of this tour. The tour rotates through the neighborhood opening new gardens every year. All proceeds support our gardens and educational programming throughout Boston’s gardens.

ALL tickets are will call and can be picked up on the day of the tour.

Check-in and pick up your tour booklet at the Library Park next to the South End Branch of the Boston Public Library, 685 Tremont Street. The booklet serves as your ticket to the gardens and contains a list, descriptions, and a map of the sites. The tour is self-guided. We only cancel in the event of severe weather.. For updates, check the Boston Community Gardens Facebook page or call Peter at 617.869.6720. Peter will also post message on his phone with any updates Saturday morning.
