About Hike & Seek: The Great Butterfly Chase

From the caterpillar to the butterfly, nature is full of whimsical creatures that can be found either on a leaf or soaring through the summer sky. Explore the Yellow Trail at Ward Reservation to discover these whimsical creatures and more with The Great Butterfly Chase at Ward Reservation.

This downloadable self-guided outdoor activity bundle will take you beyond the trail to discover the life-cycle of the butterfly and what kinds of butterflies and moths could be in your very own backyard! Participants will be emailed an activity bundle to help them look for clues around the trail for a scavenger hunt, as well as a downloadable bundle of the created activities, including maps, scavenger hunt, crafts, additional reading list and recipes to do at home. It is time to get outside, explore the trails, and reconnect with nature this summer.

Pre-registration is required for participants to get the bundle. Participants can use this bundle at anytime between 8/25 to 9/21. Registering for a specific day will send you a link to the bundle but you are not required to go to the trail on that specific day.
