About Attic Tours of the Old Manse

Discover the stories hidden in the attic of the Old Manse. While the Old Manse is famous for the writers who lived there, many others called the house home. In this 25 minute tour, we explore the attic and learn about the people who stayed there – visiting ministers, enslaved people, Harvard students, servants, and children – and learn about the diversity of experiences of people who shaped the history of the Old Manse.

Tour groups are set with a limited capacity and we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

ACCESSIBILITY

Please note that the historic house can very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Please dress comfortably.

This tour involves going up several flights of steep stairs.

This tour may at times be conducted in low light situations.
