About Legends and Lore: A Spooky Evening Stroll at Copicut Woods

Join the Trustees for a spooktacular evening stroll through the “Deep Dark” Copicut Woods. Ghouls and Goblins are welcome on this haunted evening hike as we explore the woods at night.

Superstitions have long surrounded Copicut Woods and the surrounding area, and rumors of witchcraft and other paranormal activity circulate the property to this day. Join us on the trails as we share the spookier history of Copicut’s local lore. This guided hike will travel through an abandoned farm settlement and the 150-year-old stone-wall-lined Miller Lane. Hikers can expect to hear spooky stories, learn about local wildlife, and discuss how our relationship to nature intersects with Halloween themed lore and legends.

The hike is approximately 4miles long long with the possibility of shortcuts. Please expect rocky terrain, exposed roots, and foggy weather on the trails. NOTE: There are no bathrooms at this location.

This program is geared towards adults.
