About Woolson Garden 10-Year Anniversary Block Party

10 years ago, Woolson Street residents sought a space in the neighborhood to reflect positivity, and community values, and congregate, choosing a vacant lot for a community garden. Since then, the garden has been a reminder of the beauty of Mattapan and provides neighbors with fresh food to cook each night.

Our event is a celebration of community dedication to health and wellness and green spaces. Bringing together those that made the garden a reality and residents from Mattapan, this block party will feature performers, live music, and all types of food! We will use this event as a space to feature local Black owned businesses and organizations that share our commitment to health and wellness and uplift the community.

This event will take place at Woolson Garden – 44 Woolson St, Mattapan.
