About Appleton Farm Dinner: Mandarava

Immersive and intimate, our Farm Dinners highlight the work of our farmers directly, with the bounty of each harvest brought to life by visiting local chefs. Dine at twilight on the patio of our historic farmhouse, overlooking the Great Pasture and the rolling organic fields from where your meal was harvested.

On this night, the Appleton team joins creative forces with the inspired culinary talent from Newburyport’s Mandarava Restaurant to bring you an unforgettable dining experience. The five-course tasting menu will guide you through the late summer harvest, showcasing the delightful outcome of cooking with open flame.

Pop your favorite bottle of wine, and enjoy the last nights that summer has to offer with this special meal.

About Mandarava: A celebrated private chef and the woman who taught her to cook set out to serve the public. What resulted is an oasis of organic scratch cooking. People are turning to sustainable, farmer-friendly restaurants; chefs are inspired, by demand, to include plant-based dishes. We’re happy to be at the heart of that.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) 

• Program Refunds/Cancellations: In the event that a program is cancelled due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible by email and issue you a full refund within 14 days of the cancellation. If you cannot attend a program as planned, contact appletonfarms@thetrustees.org at least 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund or transfer to another date/class. Refunds and/or class transfers will not be granted for registration cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program. There are no refunds for missed classes. Appleton Farms reserves the right to change program locations, schedules, or instructors when necessary. 

• Where to park: When you arrive at the farm, go right at the fork at the Welcome House (towards Farmhouse, Education Farmyard, Camp & Offices) and park in the lot next to the white Farmhouse / Farm Offices. We will meet on the back patio of the farmhouse.
