Looking for local, sustainably-raised meat? The Trustees Meat Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program features grass-fed and pastured meats from Trustees farms. Top-quality livestock are raised on the preserved open pastures and forests of Moose Hill Farm in Sharon, Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, Powisset Farm in Dover, Appleton Farms in Ipswich, Katama Farm in Edgartown, and Weir River Farm in Hingham.

Participating in the Trustees Meat CSA helps support Trustees farms and a strong local food system. Our practices — good for our animals and for the land — produce healthy, delicious meat!

New Meat Share Options

Summer Share – 15 pounds of Trustees Grown meat, including 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork and chicken. Everything you need to cover all your summer grilling needs! One easy pickup in July. 

Winter Share – Three 15 pound pickups of Trustees Grown meat, including 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, chicken, and goat by request. A total of 45 pounds. Pickups in November, December, and January.

Spring Share – Three 15 pound pickups of Trustees Grown meat, including 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured pork, chicken, and goat by request. A total of 45 pounds. Pickups in March, April, and May.

When and where do I pick up my Trustees Meat CSA share?
Pickups are seasonal. Upon registration, we will contact you with your pick-up date.

Pickup at the location most convenient to you:

  • Appleton Farms, Ipswich
  • Chestnut Hill Farm, Southborough
  • Moose Hill Farm, Sharon
  • Powisset Farm, Dover
  • Weir River Farm, Hingham

How are Trustees animals raised and what are they fed?
The grass-fed cattle are raised on the pastures of Moose Hill Farm in Sharon, Appleton Farms in Ipswich, Powisset Farm in Dover, and Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough. Managed with rotational grazing practices, habitat preservation models for ground nesting birds and minimal stress through sustainable stocking, the meat is of top quality.

The pigs are raised at Moose Hill Farm, Powisset Farm, and Weir River Farm in Hingham on both pastures and in woods, all perfect habitats for pigs. The pigs are fed freshly packed grain, vegetables, breads and spent barley grain from local businesses.

The meat chickens are raised at Chestnut Hill Farm and Weir River Farm with both space and access to grass and freshly packed grain.

The lambs are raised at Chestnut Hill Farm, Powisset Farm, and in the beautiful coastal sandplain pastures of Katama Farm in Edgartown.

The eggs come from laying hens pastured at Chestnut Hill Farm and Moose Hill Farm.
