Take in beautiful views of the Crane Wildlife Refuge while learning about estuary flora and fauna and environmental conditions at the Crane Boat Dock. Families will conduct measurements of water quality and weather, census native vs. Non-native crabs, collect and observe plankton using field microscopes, and observe the ever-shifting tides. Join this program to discover a lesser-known area of the Crane Estate, on the backside of Crane Beach along the picturesque Castle Neck River.
CraneExplorer events are geared towards groups with children ages 5-12 while giving adults a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Crane Estate. Hikes cover less ground to accommodate smaller strides and have more frequent stops to look, listen, participate in hands-on activities and learn from our Crane guides and educators. Interactive education programs include hands-on activities to engage learners of all ages. Not just a walk in the woods, these family-friendly experiences teach kids and delight adults by exploring the wonder of our coastal habitats and the rich history of the Crane Estate.
Pricing is for one group of approximately 4 people. If you are bringing 6 or more, please purchase additional tickets. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
