About Family Farm Chores at Powisset Farm
It’s morning at Powisset Farm and we have work to do!
Come help us with morning farm chores in the barnyard, working side by side with our staff. Give the goats, sheep, and rabbits their breakfast, fresh water, and hay. Clean up pens and put down fresh bedding hay. You’ll have time for lots of animal cuddles before turning them out for the day!
This is an immersive, hands-on experience, limited to 5 helpers per morning and is perfect for families—adults and children alike will get to try their hand at a variety of tasks. Be sure to wear sneakers or other closed-toe shoes. Family Farm chores is best suited for children ages 3 and up and adults who don’t mind getting dirty and want to work in and learn about the rhythms of the barn.

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
