Legendary French chef Joël Robuchon described Brioche as “light and slightly puffy, more or less fine, according to the proportion of butter and eggs.” In this hands-on baking class, Chef Clarisse will guide you through the process of finding those perfect proportions to make a classic Brioche. A favorite in France (and the U.S.) at breakfast, lunch and dinner, Brioche is delicious on it’s own or as a base for savory and sweet creations. You’ll leave this class with an elevated appreciation for the art of Brioche!
Chef Clarisse is from the countryside north of Paris, where she grew up cooking beside her mother and grandmother. After earning a degree in hospitality, apprenticing in Michelin 3-star restaurants, learning from a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and working in fine dining kitchens in France and St. Barth’s, she moved to the U.S. to learn to speak English. Chef Clarisse says “French cooking is not difficult! Anyone can learn the techniques. All we need is to put our heart into it!”

Cancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation, please contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
