About Long Cove Pond Discovery Kayak

Explore the serenity of Long Cove Pond at Long Point Wildlife Refuge with a natural history and engagement ranger in this guided discovery kayak tour. Learn about the unique geological history that shaped this great pond, and discover the diverse flora and fauna that call Long Point home. Participants will paddle through Long Cove Pond and into Cranberry Cove.

Please note: Participants must have experience kayaking, as this is not an introductory course.

You will get wet! Please bring: sunblock, bug spray, water bottle, snack, water-resistant clothing, towel.

Weather permitting; participants will be notified of cancellation on the day of the event. Appropriate for ages 8+. Children 15 and under must paddle with an adult.

Participants will meet at the gatehouse at Long Point Summer Entrance.
