Seen rising up the horizon line from a Field Farm meadow, “Counterculture”, is a new and temporary addition to the landscape by artist Rose B. Simpson. With eyes at the front and back of their heads, the figures represent watchful presences, perpetually observing and reminding us of what the original stewards of these lands already knew: that we are all guests in the natural world.
Please join us for free walk and talks at noon every Saturday through September 3, 2022, presented in partnership with the Williams College Museum of Art Summer Arts Program. Tours meet at Counterculture on Sloan Road.
No registration required.
