About deCordova Summer Performance Series – Kevin Harris

deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is pleased to announce the 2022 Summer Performance Series that invites viewers to explore ideas of kinship, connection and ancestry through the performing arts. These themes are also explored by exhibiting visual artists in The New England Triennial and Melvin Edwards: Brighter Days. Each event this summer offers different experiences of cultures, traditions, and familial connections.

We are excited to share a six week series of world renowned artistic performances. Performances are open to all ages and may be indoors or outside. Please review each event for details.

About the Performance:

Kevin Harris (pianist, composer, educator) and Fabio Rojas (drummer, composer, educator) seek to explore mediums of Poetry, live music interplay, and the use of electronic digital instruments in their exciting new project, “SHIFT”

Through combinations of Afro American and Venezuelan rhythms with Western European symphonic harmonies, this powerful duet could be compared to a modern symphony continually unfolding.

With this exciting multi-media presentation, Harris and Rojas intend to celebrate the collective potential to not only thrive has human beings but inspire one another in the process.
