Come make unique sun prints on the beautiful grounds of deCordova. Using natural materials and seasonal botanicals, we’ll capture the autumn sunshine in beautiful blue prints.
A brief history of the cyanotype and the blueprint process will lead into a session of printing on paper and fabric using hand made natural materialsnegatives and stencils. deCordova is pleased to offer this workshop that explores the intersection of art and nature.
About the Instructor
Chris LeGare is a Boston based artist and educator who works in a wide array of mediums including sculpture and photography to examine concepts of space, place, history and identity. Chris holds a master’s degree in Art and Teaching, and has worked with Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Arlington center for the arts, Arlington Public Art Council, Newton Public Schools, and he collaborates with area artists on a variety of projects.
This in-person workshop will take place mostly outdoors, if possible, and will follow all COVID-19 recommendations and precautions.
Please note: Registration includes a $15 supply fee. All supplies and equipment are provided.
