About Moonlight Hike at Worlds End

There is almost nothing more tranquil than an evening walk under a moonlit sky at World’s End. This fall, we would like to invite you to join us for a unique outdoor experience. We will open our gate after hours to welcome you and your family and friends to accompany a World’s End guide for a hike on our century-old cart paths. With a setting sun and bright moon lighting the way, we will share in informal discussion about the traditional significance of each month’s moon as well as history about World’s End.

If you listen and look carefully, you may spot nocturnal wildlife becoming more active at dusk. White tailed deer, red fox, raccoons, barred owls and other woodland animals make their way out into the open fields of World’s End. This is a great opportunity to get outside under the stars and share the joys of nature. October 6PM, November 4:30PM, December 4:30PM

Pre-registration online is required and space is limited. Registration includes parking reservation. Parking for World’s End is located at the end of Martins Lane, past the check-in gate. Please arrive on time or early as the gate will be closed at designated start time. Parking outside the lot is expressly prohibited and could result in your car being ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense. This event is held after typical reservation hours. Please be respectful of rangers and neighbors and leave the hike promptly and quietly. Social distancing and masks are required in accordance to Covid-19 state guidelines.

In the event of inclement weather, updates and cancellations will be posted on World’s End social media pages. In the event of cancellation, you will be contacted by the email you provided during registration.
