The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified on August 18, 1920. To celebrate the anniversary, enjoy this self-guided walk with information on the amendment and the Bird Family’s contributions to women’s rights. This short, easy walk is set up on the path behind the park’s stone stage (Music Court by the large field). Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine as you follow the informational signs along the wooded trail behind the stage. Walk begins to the left of the stage (if facing) and ends to the right of the stage.
Largest parking lot is on Polley Lane (for GPS, use “135 Polley Lane, Walpole, MA 02032). If you need a level entrance, please use the Rhoades Avenue parking lot (55 Rhoades Ave.) or the Pleasant Street parking lot (next to 315 Pleasant street).
