3 Tuesdays, February 2, 9, 23 (no class on 2/16)
Celebrate the connection between joy, humor, and surprise as you focus on the creative process rather than the final product. By playing and engaging with materials in a deeper way, we will discover ways to fool the senses, find complexity among the seemingly simple, and expand our imagination. Experiment and explore with traditional and everyday objects and materials in unconventional and unexpected ways….all while highlighting the value of collaboration and a good laugh!
This interactive class is capped at 10 students.
The link to the zoom meeting will be sent to registered participants at least one day prior to the class.
Suggested Supplies: Drawing utensils(or paints), surfaces to work on such as paper/cardboard, tinfoil, plastic wrap, mirrors, flashlights, water in a transparent container, wire/twisty ties, building blocks/materials, any other exciting art or recycled materials.
About the Instructor:
Anna Cohen has taught in after-school enrichment programs, preschools, and museums in both Vermont and the Boston Metro area. She enjoys working with natural and recycled materials, with an interest in STEAM and ephemeral art, as well as constructing large-scale structures. Anna encourages all children to appreciate the process as much as the product of their own work and to explore, ask questions, and find beauty in the world around them.Register
