About Cancelled — Dance It Out: Creative Ballet and Dance Making (Online Class for Gr 2-5)

Want to learn some ballet? Work on your break dancing? Are you all about costumes? Love music and storytelling?

Join us for this Saturday morning class this winter build a creative dance! We’ll connect via zoom to practice dance warm-ups, learn some new moves and tell stories via dance. We’ll top it with costumes, characters, and the world premiere of our own creative dance performance for family and friends.

This interactive class is capped at 12 students.

The link to the zoom meeting will be sent to registered participants at least one day prior to the class.

All that’s needed is comfortable clothing and some space to move.

About the Instructor:

Mary Teuscher is a dancer, choreographer and teacher who practices building collections of found objects, creating unusual musical instruments, site specific performance and documenting beauty in unexpected places. Through her dance work, Mary explores the use of imagination as a neuromuscular force. As a resident teaching artist in Boston Public Schools, she teaches visual art, creative writing and dance. One time in 2007 she lived outside for a whole month! Mary is a teacher at the hive, deCordova’s summer camp.
