Fruitlands Sledding

About Frozen Fruitlands

Every Saturday and Sunday, January 2nd through March 21st, join us at Fruitlands Museum for some Covid-safe winter fun! Bring your winter boots, sleds, snowshoes, or cross-country skis to get outside and explore our hills and woodland trails.

Frozen Fruitlands admission includes access to the Grounds, Wayside Gallery, and Art Gallery. Learn more about our current exhibitions “Recruiting for Utopia: Print and the Imagination,” “Ascutney Revisited: Sue McNally,” and “Nearer this Essence: Polly Thayer Starr” on our exhibition page.

Fruitlands Museum Grounds will also be open for extended dates on March 27th and 28th. Please note, this last weekend of March hours will be Grounds Only with access for hiking and sledding (conditions permitting). The Art Gallery will be closed for exhibition install at this time.

Warm up after your hike with private Fire Pit bookings. Fire Pits can be reserved by the hour. We will provide the fire, wood, and seating. Bring your own blanket and gather safely with family and friends. We recommend booking in advance to secure your spot. Learn more and book on our Fire Pit passes page. One fire pit can accomodate up to 6 people. Please note, fire pit rentals have been very popular and sell out weeks in advance. Occasionally additional space becomes available for more short notice bookings and the ticketing calendar is updated accordingly.

Rent a pair of snowshoes to use out on the trails and grounds. A limited selection of Adult and Child sizes available. Member: $10, Nonmember: $15

Please note, to keep our guests and staff safe this winter, capacities are limited and we ask that you book your admission pass in advance of your visit. If a date is greyed out on the ticket calender, tickets are either SOLD OUT or not available for that date.
