Get your young ones out of the house and build your family’s outdoor confidence on a guided family hike! Meet up with your group of fellow explorers to learn a new nature tidbit and then hit the trails! We’ll go at a comfortable pace for smaller legs and leave plenty of space for asking questions and stopping to observe something cool.
Family price includes up to 2 children and 2 adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
A fan favorite, this hike takes you through some of Castle Hill’s lesser explored but most beautiful trails, with spectacular views of Plum Island and the tidal estuaries of Fox Creek and the Ipswich River. After crossing a gorgeous green-and-gold marsh, you will emerge through dunes at Cedar Point and the mouth of the Ipswich. We’ll turn along the beach, visiting the shipwreck of the Ada K. Damon before heading back up through Castle Hill.
Please Note: This hike will be approximately two and a half miles, and may take us for a short while across soft sand and dunes, depending on the tide.
Weather cancellation policy: All trips will take place rain or shine with the following exceptions: If there is a high confidence that thunder and lightning will be present, we may cancel a trip up to one hour in advance.
