Homeschool Scientists – Series II
Nature is our classroom for our new science program for homeschoolers at Appleton Farms. Students will learn through hands-on science lessons with expert naturalist instructors for 2-hour drop off classes.
This series offers elementary-aged students the opportunity to participate in environmentally focused, farm-based activities led by our experienced education staff. Through educator-guided, experiential learning, students explore sustainability, agroecology, life cycles, soil science, history, and more – making important connections to their ongoing STEAM learning. Activities include plenty of time gardening, hiking, exploring and learning through doing.
This is an educational morning drop-off program for children ages 7-11 offered twice a week for 5 weeks. To keep groups and staff and safe as possible, families must register for a full series of programming. Groups will include up to 8 students with 1 educator. Groups will include the same students for the entire series.
Each series has 2 program options to help accommodate different family schedules
