Join us for an immersive 2.5-hour workshop with South Shore Permaculture where gardening enthusiasts of all levels can unlock the secrets to successful seed starting. South Shore Permaculture’s Facilitator, Todd, will cover a range of topics including selecting the right seeds, creating the ideal environment for growth, exploring sustainable practices, and mastering the art of planning. We’ll have a hands-on portion that will include building soil and practicing seed-sowing techniques. Todd will also guide you through troubleshooting common issues in a dynamic Q&A session. Don’t miss this opportunity to cultivate your gardening skills and witness the magic of transforming tiny seeds into vibrant, nutrient-dense plants!
We recommend participants bring a folding chair, notebook, pen or pencil, and gardening gloves.
About the facilitator: Known affectionately as The Grateful Gardener, Todd has been tending to the soil since he was a toddler in the family garden. He is a founding board member of the Wild Ones – South Shore chapter, a NOFA organic land care professional, & an expert in everything from ecology to conservation to permaculture. Todd has grown almost any native plant you can think of, from moss to sea kale. Those who are fortunate enough to glean from his expertise will tell you Todd is a fantastic teacher and a passionate advocate for the earth.
