Homeschool Scientists is a unique farm-based program which addresses Next Generation Science Standards while allowing for ample time exploring Appleton’s barnyard, garden, and extensive trails. Students will learn through hands-on science lessons with expert naturalist instructors.

This series offers elementary-aged students the opportunity to participate in environmentally focused, farm-based activities that foster social, emotional, and academic growth and development. Through educator-guided experiential learning, students explore sustainability, agroecology, life cycles, soil science, history, and more – making important connections to their ongoing STEAM learning. Activities include plenty of time gardening, hiking, exploring and learning through doing.
This is an educational morning drop-off program for children ages 5-10 offered once a week in a monthly series. Your registration fee covers admission to the entire series. To keep groups and staff and safe as possible, families must register for a full series of programming. There are no discounts/prorated options for missed sessions. Groups will include up to 14 students and will include the same students for the entire series.
