About Winter Solstice Sunset Hike at Menemsha Hills

Join us for a wintery sunset hike on the shortest day of the year! We will mark the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, by hiking down to the beach at Menemsha Hills and watching the sun set. We will read a few poems about the winter solstice to mark the moment, and discuss what we will bring with us into the coming long days.

Hike will be approximately 3 miles over rocky and uneven ground. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before tour is set to start. Participants should bring: headlamp, sturdy walking shoes, season-appropriate clothing, and water/snack. For participants aged 12+. Low enrollment or inclement weather will cancel. Questions?
