About Homeschool Scientists – November Series

Homeschool Scientists is a unique farm-based program which addresses Next Generation Science Standards while allowing for ample time exploring Appleton’s barnyard, garden, and extensive trails. Students will learn through hands-on science lessons with expert naturalist instructors.

Next Generation Science Standards: 1-ESS1-2, 2-ESS2-1, 3-LS1-1, 4-ESS2-1, 5-ESS2-1

This series offers elementary-aged students the opportunity to participate in environmentally focused, farm-based activities that foster social, emotional, and academic growth and development. Through educator-guided experiential learning, students explore sustainability, agroecology, life cycles, soil science, history, and more – making important connections to their ongoing STEAM learning. Activities include plenty of time gardening, hiking, exploring and learning through doing.

This is an educational morning drop-off program for children ages 7-12 offered once a week in a monthly series. Your registration fee covers admission to the entire series. To keep groups and staff and safe as possible, families must register for a full series of programming. There are no discounts/prorated options for missed sessions. Groups will include up to 12 students and will include the same students for the entire series.

*Please note, we cannot book children under 7 for this program. Feel free to attend our Stroller Walks and Barnyard Story hour for younger children or reach out to discuss our private-pod series opportunities.
