About Veteran's Day Hike

This Veterans Day, let the Trustees be your guide to our globally rare habitats at Long Point Wildlife Refuge, traversing by foot around sandplain grasslands, barrier beaches, and pine barren forests. Gain a deeper understanding of the flora and fauna that call this special refuge their home.

Hike will be approximately 1.5 miles over moderate to difficult terrain; limited shade and soft sand. Binoculars and cameras are encouraged. Please dress appropriately for extended exposure; layers are recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will meet at the Winter Entrance to Long Point Wildlife Refuge.
