About Talking Turkey! A Family Program

It’s Turkey Time! With Thanksgiving approaching, your kiddos are definitely talking turkey. What do you call a baby turkey? What are some differences between turkeys you might see in your backyard and the turkey you see at the Thanksgiving table?

Native to Massachusetts, the wild turkey was almost hunted to extinction by European Settlers. A relocation program in 1972 was successful, and now their gobbles can be heard across the state! Learn about the unique anatomy, behavior, and habitat needs of these feathered friends, and make your own turkey call so you, too can talk turkey!

Please note, this is not a drop-off program. Adult supervision is required. This program is recommended for families with children ages 4-7.

Please note, though we love dogs, they are not permitted at Chestnut Hill Farm.
